Fiji Geologist Contract & Consulting Equipment
At Derwent Geoscience Fiji we provide a range of specialised Geology minerals exploration equipment from our Fiji base.
Any of our Geology equipment can be hired as part of our Contracting and Consulting services. We have an extensive range of equipment in Fiji such as the Heli-portable Diamond Drill Rig (BMP250) and the Argo 750 HDI 8x8 skid steer ATV’s.
We also use the latest software - Vulcan™, Mapinfo/Discover™ and Micromine™.
Heli-portable Diamond Drill Rig (BMP250)
Capable of 300m NQ or 150mHQ triple tube coring the machine is lightweight and breaks down into components easily transported by helicopter into the roughest terrain. The rig is also utilised for geotechnical drilling.
Argo 750 HDI 8x8 skid steer ATV’s
These ATV’s are used to support mineral exploration and drilling in rugged terrain. They come complete with mounted winches and a trailer for transporting equipment.
Niton XL2 500 Portable XRF
Provides onsite analysis of rock and soil samples (base metals and trace elements), almost indispensable for providing real time feedback on drilling, mapping and soil sampling programmes.
Core saw (Petrol)
For cutting rock and core samples in remote locations.
General exploration equipment
Soil sampling equipment, handheld GPS’s, compasses, clino’s etc
Geology Software packages
Derwent compiles and analyses’ data using Mapinfo/Discover™, Micromine™ and Vulcan™ software packages. Data can be exported in a variety of formats suitable for import into most common exploration & mining software packages.
